apart from Harvin, who they say will be back for the MNC game, anyone got any status on UF players? We are out Murray and Granger...maybe Box. Who will they be missing, if anyone?

Everything I have read says that they are very healthy. Harvin is still rehabbing, but should be 100%.

Tebow has the knee injury that they are keeping under "wraps".

Well, UF is down to a 2 deep using the 1s and 3s at DT. Our 2s, Matt Patchan and Brandon Antwine, were lost for the year against the Citadel (hate games like this due to potential injuries) and FSU in the muck.

Harvin will be back.

Rainey missed Bama, but he'll be back too.

Other than depth issues past our 2 deep at DT, UF is fine.

For OU, Box is back on your depth chart for the game so it looks like he's playing.

Tebow is fine. lol I don't know where you'll get you're information from. Has he looked injured once this entire year?

word I got he got hurt in practice last week. Non contact injury but had to be help off the field. He hasn't done anything but take snaps and throw lightly in practice since. No running

I heard Tebow could miss the big game, they are not sure if the skin grafts on his palms are going to take....

ETGator1... heard about your 2's on DT... good kids lost in a busted game. I didn't see how serious but hopefully back on your roster early next spring. Hate to see student-athletes lose out on their chance.

I heard Box is working it through and looks to be back by Bowl Game. Will need his hard-hitting nature with a 237 pound running QB/HB. Damn shame about Murray... second bowl game he's missed. He deserves to play in a bowl game.

Harvin is a hard-working guy... foregoing Christmas break to rehab... NFL scouts are going to love that dedication.

Damn good game coming up Jan 8.

VA, we've actually lost three 2s at DT due to injury. Earlier in the year, we lost Troy Epps to a season ending knee injury.

I actually like our 3s as much as the 2s we lost. Torrey Davis at 6'3"/300 and Jaye Howard at 6'3"/285 have done fine as backups. Davis would be starting for a lot of good teams. Carlos Dunlap, 6'6"/290 SDE, is also cross trained to play inside if need be. Beyond that, we'd have to look at removing a redshirt which isn't going to happen.

If you guys start removing redshirts I'm heading over to the Casino across the street and laying down som cash. I'm tempted as it is, but won't violate my "I live in Vegas so I don't gamble" rule based on just being 99% sure we'll win.

Harvin isn't even going home for Christmas, which makes me think he won't be 100%. If he were truly doing better he would go home for Christmas, but instead he's going to rehab more.

I'm sure he wants to get better, but that shows the extent of the injury.

I'm willing to bet Harvin isn't 100% for the game. With that said, I wish both teams were 100%, so we can watch a great game.

I think he's dealing with a severe high ankle sprain and from personal experience, it's worse than a break. I had a high ankle sprain in HS from basketball and it kept me out 2 1/2 months because it's such a nagging injury. I broke my foot last year and was back to pick up games in 2 months. I really want to see both teams as healthy as possible at this point and it just sounds sketchy that Harvin will be 100%. But a 70% Harvin is better than most's 100%.

I just wish Reynolds hadn't got hurt. It would be so great to see him in this game. Mr. Reynolds, meet Mr. Tebow! Mr. Tebow, you can get up now ......... Mr. Tebow, can you hear me?

Don't get too caught up in the Harvin is staying in Gainesville to rehab talk. Percy is originally from Virginia Beach, but his mom now lives in Gainesville. I doubt seriously he'd leave his mom at Christmas just to go visit the old homestead. (wink)

Percy is rehabbing, but he'll will be ready to go by Jan 8. If the game was played on Christmas day, he'd play. He'd probably be at 80%. He's walking fine, he's not in any pain, and he was doing trampoline workouts last week. The rehab he's doing is to bring him back to as close to 100% as possible by game day. With 16 days to go, he'll be real close to 100%.

even Florida fans have forsaken Cornelius Ingram.

ETGator1
12/23/2008, 07:33 PM
It's hard to forsake someone that was injured at the start of fall practice and didn't play a down. Meyer would let Ingram play had the doctors released him. The doctors don't think Ingram is ready yet so he's not going to play.

Shhhh! Shhhh! Ingram could be a super duper secret weapon that gets sprung on January 8. (wink)

Unfortunately for UF, Ingram's next game will be in the NFL.
