While shopping around today for Xmas presents, I spied a really nice 'OU 7 time National Champs' leather jacket that had my name written all over it. (being in Dallas, we don't get to see much primo stuff like this much)

I 'held back', because of some upcoming bowl game.

Was I right or wrong? :eek:

Well, I remember all to well the years we didn't even get losing bowl shirts.

Plus, they actually make great shirts to wear at the gym or to do heavy labor.

Which would explain why they're at the bottom of the shirt drawer.

You did right, O21F, but that isn't the same bad karma as buying bowl game souvenirs before the game.

I think my Sugar Bowl cap is still at the bottom of my cap pile and for good reason. But, my house idols still sport those cheap plastic bowl game beads. You know the karma gods have to look favorably on the "show us your tits".

Guys, the jacket just said 7 time national champs (not 2008 national champs); it actually would seem to commemorate a future loss in this game.

Therefore I submit to you that if said item was markedly overpriced (>150% what you'd be willing to pay for it), you should have bought it. Then as luck would have it, we'd win the title and render the jacket out of date and worthless. See?

This may have been a missed opportunity.
