Earlier this year we had a kid leave LSUer and come to OU. I remember he was a lineman just not sure if it was D Line or O Line. Can you guys provide any updates on him. Could be some help for us next year.

OL - plays both tackle & guard

Heard only good things & that he is expected to be a starter/heavy contributor next year.

Saw action at both tackle and guard in a backup role during his freshman season ... Played in seven games, including the first three games of the year ... Served as the Tigers' backup left tackle behind Ciron Black and also spelled Lyle Hitt at right guard ... Was in on a total of 63 plays from scrimmage ... Played a season-high 18 snaps versus Louisiana Tech and registered a career-high three knockdowns and a pancake block in the victory.

One of the top offensive line prospects in the state of Texas and the Southwest region ... Rated the No. 10 offensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com ... A member of the Houston Chronicle Top 100 for Texas ... Was a defensive end early in his career until he was moved to the offensive line after his sophomore season ... Played in the inaugural Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. ... Helped his team to a semifinal berth in the 2006 playoffs ... As a junior, earned first-team all-district honors on the offensive line after recording 54 pancake blocks and giving up no sacks ... Coached by Lydell Wilson.

That would be Rosenberg. He played with the Rogers brothers. I believe Lamar Consolidated won state that year.

I had forgotten all about this guy.Hopefully he can help Simmons and Williams provide a solid foundation for next year's O-line.

Simmons & Williams & Jarvis & Good & Habern & Hannah & all the other backups that saw action this year - we will be pretty good on the Oline next year and for a few years to come...

I don't know that I ever heard why he left LSU. Got into some fights in practice and had class attendance issues.

Don't forget about Jeff Vinson (6-6, 348 lbs) junior college transfer, who just recently committed to us. He could step in next year, just like Loadholt and Walker did after moving to OU from junior colleges.

Simmons & Williams & Jarvis & Good & Habern & Hannah & all the other backups that saw action this year - we will be pretty good on the Oline next year and for a few years to come...Ihope those other guys can step up BUT Williams and Simmons are game testested veterans who have played D-1 ball at crunch time.Not saying the others are not good players,they just haven't been truly tested yet.
