New Statue in Heisman Park -

Saw a version today that they are saying was approved. Just not able to cut and paste it here for you guys to view. It is the upside down shot of him during the OSU game.. Wouldn't be my pick, would rather see him standing big in tall in the pocket, which is how I will remember watching him play, not the flip shot in the corner at stoolwater.

This represents Jason in his Heisman mode well, because he became a sound pocket passer without a lot of movement. He could stand still and deliver a ball 50+ yards!

Sam Bradford is still the mobile-type, and his statue needs to reflect that... even if he isn't depicted in helicopter mode spinning into the endzone :P

It should be Sam carrying the Heisman trophy and they should put a motion sensor in the front so anytime someone walks by it a recording of Billy Sims screaming "BOOOOOMER!!!" plays.

Billy Sims' statue yells "Boomer" repeatedly and will not stop until the Sam statue says "Sooner!"

...and then Sims' statue says "Boomer" again for good measure :D

Here's one I took at the Cincinnati game. I've sent it to Kenny Mossman with the OU Athletic department. I think it would be perfect.

Oh, and this was a TD pass in the 4th quarter. I can't remember who it was intended for, but that person muffed it. Clapp ended up catching it for a TD.

I like the idea of having little opponent hands desperately grasping at him trying to tackle him, but it would be inappropriate considering that none of the other statues have that (and you know they were all avoiding lots of tacklers too... except for Jason perhaps)

Sam has dodged so many would-be tacklers this year to gain positive yards that I think this pic would be perfect. It makes him look a little less "deer in headlights" than normal, too :D

The only problem with the statue they made is that he's still holding on to the ball! The OSU linebacker smashed him and knocked the ball loose. But I guess if they didn't put the ball in the statue, it would look like he's doing some gay cartwheel. I agree with you guys, maybe a pictue of him standing in the pocket. That's what he's known for, not his running ability/athleticism like the statue depicts.
