So if the Dow goes up after he rings the bell they'll probably contribute it to a soft market.

Hey, I'm not into the stock market, so I don't plan to (nor do i have the money to) buy stocks... but if you were going to buy anyway, why not buy when it's Sam's day?

And as such, this thread will be going tomorrow, so I just wanted to get a day's early start on this :D

Finals are always unhappy times. I'm glad I got that over with a long time ago. I probably wouldn't make it today...

I predict a fast start and the Dow up a ton at mid-day. The afternoon will see light trading with 2nd and 3rd rate stocks seeing action late in the day.

In after-hours trading Texas stocks will complain that they outperformed Oklahoma stocks because of some success early in the day. They will ignore that they lost value later in the day and will only consider the morning's trading to be valid.
