78 yards away from 3000 in his career. not sure where that ranks all time among OU running backs in the pros, but getting there in 2 years is crazy.

Why do they call him AD?

they don't anymore =(. everyone on TV calls him AP, or the cashier.

Not to mention he's sharing a lot of carries with Chester Taylor....

I hear some love for AD every so often, even on espn and in the Minnesota media. A lot of people insist on AP, but everyone knows he's either AD or Purple Jesus.

By the way, AD also set the Viking record Sunday for most 100 yard rushing games in a single season: 9. Make it a nice round 10 this Sunday you beast you. I believe it's a head-to-head game with the NFL's 2nd best rusher.

Also, he is doing it in the 14th game, which means that the prior record holder cannot complain about a longer season. I felt the same way when the running back in college was going to pass Barry Sanders' record. They were not going to count Sanders' bowl game, though the other guy was playing more games and a bowl game to pad his numbers. I have to force myself to root for a team wearing purple. Actually, I don't like pro football much, but pull for Kurt Warner.

According to Pro-Football-Reference.com (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/colleges/oklahoma/stats.htm), he's sixth among former OU players.

Wish he were here breaking records with Sam.

Be careful what you wish for...If Sam goes pro, the Vikes could possibly draft him. I'd hated to see him leave this year. But a 20 million $$ difference between this year and the new NFL rookie salary cap could be the difference. I am a huge Viking fan and would love to see him waring Purple!
