I think the guy is sincere - other than giving him an in on recruits in Watts and other areas there is nothing in it for him.

He is a perfect fit for USC and they are lucky to have him.

Having said that, nothing makes me happier than a USC loss (other than Notre Dame at 0-11).

60 Minutes was a little out of their ordinary realm on this story. They mistakedly reported Pete's ventures into gangland as community relations, when actually they are recruiting trips. ;)

I've got nothing against Carroll. I think the guy would be a great coach to play for. Any coach that implements pranks with Will Farrell into practice is okay by me.

thru all the competition and hatred for other schools we sometimes forget that most of these coaches and players are really good people. He has many qualities I do not admire but he also has a few that I do admire.

Yes, he does get some recruiting benefit from the community service, but I think its cool what he is doing.

The kids seem to really like it, especially the ones he brings into USC practices. You could see their reaction when they got to hang out on the practice field.

Why, there are plenty of other people out there that are doing the same type of work and not getting on 60 minutes.

Im guessing the point is that he is using his star power to help people out...its a personal interest story

Call him a saint all you want, but the dude has been dodging NCAA sanctions for years....

The message is clear: If you do charity work, publicize the tar out of it or lose recruits.

He just seems like a weirdo.

Also, one of these times when he goes to talk to a gang, it's not going to fly with one of them.

Tebows real Dad?

Not possible. The Gator fans claim he's the second coming of Christ, so he would have been immaculately conceived. :D

I love how people do good and take cameras with them... just do it and not tell anyone or if asked to be on 60 min just say no and keep it privet. He needs to be on 60 min being question about the money Reggie Bush took, and some of the mixing his players do with movie, rap, tv stars.... Just like when Sean Penn went to New Orleans.. had to take the camera with him to show everyone what a good humanitarian he is..... All of it is self promotion!
