Sumlin will be a success at Houston. I know coach stoops gave him a good reference and told the Houston AD that he was ready for that job.

Houston had a really tough year. Lots of big injuries and Hurricane Ike didn't help either. They're going to hit the JUCOs for the needed positions and will be ready to make a run at CUSA title game in 09. And every year that Sumlin remains.

HE would have played in the CUSA conference champ game with home field advantage if they had not carped it up to a best Rice team in recent memory... He will do well.
