"I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening."

Is that a receipt in Obama's hand??

Clinton x 10.

CONTACT: A blah movie only because Matthew McConauGHEY was in it. Had he not been in it, the movie would have been greatness.

CONTACT: Sometimes makes the eyes happier.

CONTACT: A concussion waiting to happen for Colt McCoy.

Tuba's threads are somewhere between RLIMC's and a half a pound of rotten swiss cheese in terms of relevance.

I just gotta get his off my chest:

You folks who are rooting for Obama to be implicated in this scandal need to get a clue. The LAST thing this country needs right now is to have the guy we just elected as President turn out to be dirty. Please note: I am not saying that IF he's dirty, I hope nobody finds out. I'm saying I hope he's NOT dirty, and if you ARE hoping that he is dirty, you have rocks in your ****ing skull, because you are putting your partisan interests at a higher place of priority than the welfare of the country.

Exactly, cause we know the Democrats never tried to implicate Bush in any scandals no matter how far fetched, or call him a war criminal, or wish for impeachment, etc.

This might be the best political post in the history of the SO.

That's not really saying much though. :O

I just wish he wouldn't lie unnecessarily about having contact with Slobodon Blogovich. It shows bad character.

I'm sure every bit of information in that dudes head immediately transferred to Obama through osmosis in the brief moment they shook hands. Because that's pretty much the only way that photo means anything.

I think you might want to look at the difference between a member of the Congress and a blog writer. Republicans spent $60m worth of public money on Whitewater, the only real implication of Bush that I can remember by Congress was for the DoJ firings. I'm sure there are more, but Bush is no martyr.

How about YOUR cheerleader outfit? I don't believe I said anything about any member of congress. Quite a stretch even for you.

I'm glad libs can now rise above it all. Bash Bush for 8 years, but now your boy is in office, all of a sudden any criticism is unfair.

Of course partisans wished for impeachment and claimed Bush did all sorts of silly stuff. Actual position holders in the Republican party spent $60m on a $300,000 alleged loan and came back with nothing on Clinton, so forgive me if an awful president had a rough time with the media, Bush deserved it. There were plenty that accused the Clintons of murder to 9/11, which I find goofy, and little more.

Also, are the plummeting gas prices the result of a Democratic Congress, I seem to remember you starting a couple of threads about this and would like your answer.

By all means, criticize. Just, you know, actually have a plausible reason for it.

Making hay out of the fact that you found a picture of the Senator from Illinois shaking hands with the Governor of Illinois? Seriously? It'd be more suspicious if you couldn't find such a picture.

Country first.

Do people not understand what this means? There is no asterisk with a explanatory note that says, "Only in the event that the right guy wins the election, and then I hope that guy fails even if it has a negative impact on the country."

And Condescending Sooner, believe me, I am anything but liberal.

I, too, want to believe Obama is the first Chicago politician to rise above the slime but it's becoming more apparent that the slime doesn't fall far from the slime.

These clowns all seem to be interconnected in a minimum-security prison sort of way.

Maybe, if you consider an aversion to logic, facts, the real world, rational thinking and loyalty to your nation above your party as "partisan".Fixed.

No, really. FIXED.

I think the point of the original post was that Obama should have chosen his words better, not about rooting for him fail. He screwed up when asked about the governor.

I started zero threads about the price of oil. Your memory is as bad as your reasoning.
