Ain't it purty? :D First real snow I've seen in the 16 years I've been down here. It's not sticking, but my son said he and friends were able to scoop enough off cars for a snowball fight - his first ever.

One of the many things I miss about OK is the ginormous snowflakes where you could actually see their patterns. Don't miss driving in it, though.

The scanners in our newsroom were quite busy with all the law enforcement, EMTs, etc. getting all excited about it. Made work more fun. :)
It seems to have slowed down here some...would love to wake up tomorrow to see some white on the ground.

The craziest part of this is that yesterday it was 75*F. My fire place is rolling with a beautiful oak wood fire.

a really crappy cellphone pic...

2 inches in Clear Lake, just measured it. Reverting back to meteorologist mode...

Pretty blanket of snow on the ground and the non-concrete surfaces. Nice glow to the Christmas lights and it is very quiet.

Beltway 8 North around 290 and Hardy Toll road closed...Fred Hartmann bridge in Baytown closed.

Wow!

Did you see the graphic on channel 13? Every year that a major hurricane hits Houston, it snows in December. :D

I guess in Houston, TX a snowfall is like having a new baby born into the family.

Where I live, snow is like a mooching relative who shows up in October and stays till April.

It is a real novelty down here...but it's pretty much all gone except for areas on roofs where the sun hasn't hit. Sigh.

I guess so. I have lived here for 13 years and this is only the 2nd time (in those 13 years) that there has been any accumulation of snow.

Do you kiss your cousins very often? :D

I realize that I misread your initial post. I, obviously, just glanced at what you typed, but I thought you said "smooched" a relative. :D:D:D
