Madu looked great. Madu and Carter earned their right to play more. Madu proved he is an elusive hard runner and Carter flies around to the ball and will knock your head off.

I've always thought that Madu needed more playing time. I love the way he runs the ball: fast and hard. Maybe next year we could implement him into the slot position to get him some playing time.

Usually when Madu is in the game we are already ahead a billion points, and we just are running the clock out, so they know to stop the run.

Man, I love watching Carter and Harris hammer people... I think it was Carter that effectively ended Maclin's trips across the middle. I could be wrong. I blame the booze.

My favorite Madu run Saturday was at the end of the game. It ended up being about a 6 yard run but he showed some amazing balance and athleticism. He ran forward, hopped backward and then drug a couple of guys for about 3 yards.

I don't really like the idea of Calhoun taking away carries from Madu, but that's probably exactly what's going to happen.

Well, who was he going to start over? We had two JUCOs coming in who we thought would be awesome, and only one turned out to be pretty good in a pinch (the other is a special teams great). We had Reynolds coming back and both Box and Lewis were lighting it up.

It was truly great to see a local kid tear it up on one of the biggest stages, with little to no prep. Go Junior!
