You are SOOOOOO doomed now, mister.

:D Ok, just had to have fun for the day. Your Wii-itis (as it is officially medically dubbed now) will go away after a few days. I would caution you against excessive Wii playing for long periods of time. I know it's a new toy and everything, but resist urges to do too much playing to start with.

1- Alternate playing with you and your wife. I suggest golf. You take more turns in that game.
2- Slight hand motions are all that's necessary. I know you really wanna PUNCH!!!1111 the screeen and all, but you get the same result from a smaller, slower motion. Think wrist motion, not full arm motion.
3- Less is more. Wii Sports is an active game. Alternate Wii Sports with a lesser active game. Try the Mario one. It's two player simultaneous, but involves less motion.

Also, it goes without saying but I'll say it anyway - WRIST. STRAP. Don't play without it, there's been far too many destroyed television pictures out there from Wii playing.

Have fun... :)

Yeah, as those joints wake up again they'll get sore for a bit. I had the same problem! I hope you guys have a lot of fun, and maybe Santa will bring a couple new games for it for Christmas. :D

So my Wii package comes with the sports games. I'm wanting to get the Lightsaber Star Wars game for the kids. Any other games that are a must to play?

How bout I just recommend NOT getting the Star Wars light saber game? :D

The game apparently sucks as much as the movie did. (http://wii.ign.com/articles/930/930040p1.html)

My recommendation for kiddo games includes...

Wii Play. It comes with an extra controller and has multi-player fun. The games are relatively simple and not that advanced, but should be fun for kids.

Super Mario Galaxy is mainly one-player, but a second player can assist the first player with a second controller.

If the kids are a little bit older (into double digits), Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a fun multi-player game. If they are into music, Rock Band and Guitar Hero are good, but a little bit more expensive than tradition games.

If you are really buying this system for yourself and just pretending it's for your kids and you intend to relive your NES childhood, make sure you buy either a Gamecube controller (Wavebird wireless!) or a "classic controller" as well as a few "Wii Points" cards. This will allow you to download nostalgia games from the N64, SNES and NES games (Genesis and Turbo also).

Keep in mind you can also play Gamecube games with Wii as well. The Zelda for Gamecube is perfect for younger children.

Thanks Badger, but yeah I got two boys (8 and 6) who are big Star Wars fans, hence why I wanted to get that for them.

We got the Rock Band and Guitar Hero for Playstation, so no need to purchase that. They're more into sports, but do like Mario, so I'll look into that game as well. Thanks again!

Unless you have already gotten the game for them, I must beg and plead for a fellow Sooner fan to reconsider.

There are other fun Star Wars games out there that you can play on Wii. Here's one in particular...
http://www.nwiizone.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/Lego-Star-Wars-The-Complete-Sage-Wii-Boxart-01.jpg

Seriously, I cannot recommend the Star Wars Lego series enough. GET. THIS. GAME. It is a LOT of fun not only to play, but also to watch.

It is multiplayer simultaneous. Two players play cooperatively throughout the entire game.

It is non-violent. When a player destroys another character with a blaster or a lightsaber, the other character simply falls apart like broken Lego pieces. Likewise, should your character "die," it doesn't "die," it simply falls apart.

It is easy. You have infinite lives. No matter how many times you jump into a pit or how hard it is to "kill" Darth Maul, you get to keep trying.

There is absolutely no learning curve. If you've never played a video game before, you could pick up a controller and press buttons and still play along. Plus, it's a cute little tribute to the movies your kids apparently love, so it'll be fun all around.

Once again, this game... not the other one. Here's more info (http://wii.ign.com/objects/904/904614.html) on Star Wars Lego.

LOL! Got the Lego Star Wars game and Indiana Jones games for Playstation. They either playing those or NCAA 09.

Yeah, they get irritated when one of them is slowing the other down or always falling off cliffs when they play together, but it's all in good fun.

In fact, I'm usually the one figuring out how to get them to the next level. Bought the Batman Lego game for Playstation, and that's going to be from Santa.

Hmmm.... well, in that case, might I recommend Rogue Squadron 2 for Gamecube? You'll need a 'cube controller, but that was a good game.
