it's still fun to look at stuff like this. AH-64 FLIR footage of four bad guys being engaged w/the Apache 30mm chain gun.

Makes sure to check out the dog's reaction (upper right corner of the screen).

I feel ya bro. Fun to watch. Not fun for the four helo drivers who will return from the mission and have to sleep in a dusty tent or shot-up warehouse that smells like a$$ and ballsweat and wishing with all their might they were home with their lady and kiddoes.

No, I got your point, but its different for military aviators and artillerymen. Somehow, its not as personal. I sleep fine.

Nope. bombers. And I did time in asscrackistan w/Army as an ALO leading guys controlling fixed-wing airstrikes on bad guys. You illuminate the target with your laser pointer or IR designator and the bomb or missile hits the spot. Its slicker than a 40 yd Bradford TD pass.

I thought you flew cargo? What, did you drop a pallet on the bad guys? :)

I've wondered about what Homey says there and he confirms it.
It's easier to detach from the thought of killing someone from a mile away.
Maybe it's more like a video game when you get away from the sounds and smells?

Theres that, and the fact Homey is of German descent. My people tend to be generally less squeamish about killing and what not.:O

:) That's funny, but there's probably some truth in that too.
