According to the latest AP Poll we will play or have played......

1. Connecticut
2. North Carolina
4. Texas A&M
6. Texas
7. Tennessee
9. California
10. Baylor
24. Oklahoma State
25. Kansas State

That's not to say that is where these teams will end up but for right now it looks rough.

It has to be the toughest schedule. It is smart on Sherri's part to schedule such a tough OOC schedule to toughen the girls up for conference play but it hasn't seemed to be working out quite as planned.

I love the idea of playing against the best. It's tough but it gives fans some really excellent matchups. That is one reason why I love women's basketball.

I'm not meaning to change the subject, but are the women really behind 52-26 at half against California? I can't get any updates from yahoo or internet radio broadcasts.

I can't get it anywhere on radio either, but espn's gametracker shows they are currently tied. Looks like the women are playing lights out in the second half - good to see them rally from so far down; an unbelievable comeback, regardless of the final outcome.

OU is now up by 10 inside the final minute; they were currently on a run of 26 straight points.

Sooners won 86-75; that decisive run was a 28-0 run that turned a 71-55 deficit into a 83-71 advantage. Wow.

Wow, 86-75 final score, OU wins! OU outscored Cal 60-23 in the second half - unbelievable! They were doubled up at halftime, 26-52 and came out and played what has to be their best ball of the season. This could end up being a turning point for the women; a huge rally on the road against the #7 ranked team in the country is pretty impressive.

We've officially hijacked the original thread, but sticking with the theme of playing a tough schedule, this game certainly helps OU in the long run. I can't recall EVER seeing a team rally from 26 points down, much less end up winning by double digits. Great win for the program!

Final OU 86 California 75.

Thanks for the link, Tulsa Sooner.

I wish I would have been able to listen to it.

Too bad we couldn't have done that against UConn, but yeah, great rally tonight and that should spark us come conference play.

I don't like the idea of having a 26-point deficit so that you can make a 26-point comeback in the second half. Oy... season is already kind of long...

Agreed, I don't think they should ever be down by 26 points...but they clearly played a complete half at their highest level, arguably for the first time this season. Hopefully they can continue that level of play without the 26 point deficit in future games.

Wow, that's fuggin impressive. I went to bed when we were getting spanked and didn't bother looking for the score this morning and didn't see anything on the DOK web site. That's a pretty damn amazing comeback.
