View Full Version : Lawsuit to compel Barak Obama to produce a birth certificate

Hi Guys. Just wondering what the consensus was on this: A group called The United States Justice Foundation is pushing a lawsuite that would compel Barak Obama to produce a birth certificate to prove that he is Constitutionally eligible to hold the Presidency of the United States.

To me, this is a BS, harrassing lawsuit -- because the simple fact is that everybody knows who his legal mother is, and if at least one of your parents is a US Citizen at your birth, then you are a natural born US citizen.

I don't see much more of a point to this.

Anybody have any more info, pro or con?

Or, if no intelligent thoughts to share on Obama's birthing, you could always discuss your favorite ice cream or what kind of cake tastes best.

Why would someone use a lawsuit to compel someone? Isn't that what the power of Christ is for?

THE POWER OF THIS NUISANCE LAWSUIT COMPELS YOU!

I think my big fat stomach proves that I'm Constitutionally eligible to love pie.

Donofrio [the tin-foil hat wearer who needs to STFU and get a real life] also contends that two other candidates, Republican John McCain and Socialist Workers candidate Roger Calero, also are not natural-born citizens and thus ineligible to be president.
'Nuff said.

Hey, thanks for the link. Just to be clear, I do think the US Justice Foundation case is a separate law suit from the two mentioned in the MSNBC article. Those appeared to be brought by individuals.

ANd, Bri, I think the logic of "compelling" Obama to produce a birth certificate is that by questioning Obama's eligibility to hold office, and opening a law suit, the court would order Obama to produce evidence that he is in fact eligible.

And, does it matter if Obama or anybody else holds dual citizenship? I think that's irrelevant. The Constitution says "natural born" US citizen, not "exclusively US citizen."

All of the Founding Fathers were born as British subjects, and several of them managed to be President, so WTF?

Besides, he IS a naturally born US citizen and has already produced his birth certificate and the announcement in the local Hawaii paper regarding his birth on multiple times.

There will always be crazy conspiracy theory people.

No he didn't.

He gave them a crazy, scribbled up piece of goat skin parchment that only said, "I'M RICH, BEYOTCH!!!!!1111oneone LOL UP IN DIS MUHFUH".

And even that was only offered after Turbo and Ozone threatened him to settle the score on the street, BREAKIN' for world domination.

I contend that this statement assumes that time is endless and the human race will go on forever, therefor it is false.

Big XII tiebreakers, constitutional qualifications? Same thing, they are rules to govern eligibility for a specific thing. I would like to know if he passes the Presidential qualifications?

Oh, but LAS, an independent expert has examined the birth certificate and declared it fraudulent. And by "independent expert" I mean a guy that lives in his mom's basement and downloaded a trial version of Photoshop to make his own lolcats.

Most of this has already been posted, but:

1. He's already produced his birth certificate. The Hawai'i Department of Vital Statistics (or whichever place keeps records for Hawai'i) has confirmed that he does, indeed, have a valid birth certificate.

2. The Honolulu paper carried a birth announcement. Which would be sort an odd thing to do if he were born in Kenya or wherever.

3. One of the circuit courts has already ruled that private citizens do not have standing to sue over this issue. Believe it or not, the suit that the circuit court ruled on was brought against John McCain.

I resent these allegations that I dislike lolcats. I am a proud citizen of a couple of lolcats-related Facebook groups and can produce the documentation to prove so.

I must also say that I also have an account on MySpace, but my dual citizenship in no way invalidates my status as a Facebook account holder or as an lolcats fan.

You CANNOT have dual citizenship in the dessert category. You're either a PIE GUY or a COBBLER GOBBLER.

There is no crossover on this debate.

Wrong again, Lib. I enjoy both pie and cobbler, though I probably favor cake to both. Don't get me started on cheesecake.

Sorry, i thought you were a lib. Plus, it made a better opening to the post.

What I really like about cake is the way it goes down with milk. MMMmmm.

Not that pie doesn't go with milk, I'd just argue that it doesn't go as well.

I'm gonna go to the store and buy myself a pie.

I've been really good on the diet, I've lost more than 10% of my body weight, and I'm gonna have some pie.

Mmm. Pie.
