I think I'd rather have my team be unranked than ranked #3 - the "close, but no cigar" ranking. I feel sorry for the poor bastages that end up #3.

Texass is #2 in the Computer rankings, but #3 in the two human polls.

Though it was a longshot, I was kinda hoping that we could teach 'em a lesson or two on the "neutral field" of the BCS championship game, but I'm happy to be playing Florida.

So with KU at 34 in the BCS...we played 8 teams ranked by the BCS out of our 13 games...one of those was texas. texas played 7...one of those being a loss to texas tech.

It sure seems to me that things worked out just about how they should have.

I'm very glad for texas. They got exactly what they deserved. Congrats whorns!

Don't be so sure of that till it's announced. A friend of mine has an OU / USC 2003 Sugar Bowl t-shirt that he ordered through the website before the game was announced.

No BCS bowl for Leach and the Raiders is Bullcrappilicious. They need to change the two team /per conferance rule. Or not If they did I guess most years youd have 4 or 5 SEC in BCS bowls. Its just kind of lame. Tech is ranked no.4 in the puters and 7 overall.

It is worth noting that TTU is ahead of 1-loss Ohio State and 0-loss Boise State. None of the other 1-loss teams lost by such a huge margin, though they also didn't lose to the #1-ranked team in the country. *shrug*

An 8-team playoff would be epic right now, though. Sure, there would be some controversy since Boise State would be left out, but there's no way to avoid all controversy. It would also be awesome to have high-end inter-conference matchups.

OU would end up playing a Big 10 team, likely a Pac 10 team (I'd put USC over Alabama), and then probably an SEC team (Florida). Of course, there could be a UT-TTU rematch in the bottom bracket, but that'd be a nice rematch anyway.

This is what we wanted all year and we got it! Another shot at the MNC. Great job Sooners! Everything that has happened over the past few weeks is moot (until next October) and we have our shot. Whining and complaining took a backseat to on field performance, it goes to show you that the good guys sometimes finish first.

I'm psyched!
