Very few Big XII schools ever play in the championship game and those that do usually lose.

To compensate, they don't consider it a big game.

I don't have a huge problem with it. Go back and look at the last 6 or 7 big 12 title games. None have been competitive. OU/NU was the closest. The North is horrible, year in and year out. Hard to consider it a big game when you play a patsy from the North.
