that's exactly it. Though grammatically, is should be "mi pajarito está en mi tortilla" - the verb "estar" means that's where the parrot is at this particular moment. The verb "ser" implies that the parrot is there permanently. So it'd have to be, I don't know, baked into the tortilla, or something.

That may actually be true. I've picked up on a few things and heard a few other things here and there.
To make a long story short, I think she may be hooking up with this clarinet playing overweight band nerd who has a funky smell and is not well aquatinted with good grooming.
