So my house in NW Norman got pummeled by hail. The house had been re-roofed in 1996 for hail damage also. So now there are hail-resistant shingles I was considering to save me the deductible, and the hassle of the re-roof next hailstorm, which could be 1 to 10 years away. Throwing away a roof so often seems like a waste anyway.
One roofer said he didn't think it was worth the money and this storm might have damaged those shingles as well; another's opinion was that class IV shingles would have survived this storm. Anyone know an actual roof that survived this storm (Nov 5) with class IV shingles? Any professionals in the building biz with opinions on this?
