If you didn't read the article, the charges stem from an investigation into the player's actions over the summer when he was home in New Mexico. A warrant to search his room did not turn up any drugs. Crabtree probably did not know the guy did this.

The DEA must have been shooting for someone bigger to have waited from June until now to make the arrest.Disregard my earlier (sarcastic) comment.
