Where is Bill in Sinton? We need focus!! Our opponent is not on the field, but instead the human pollsters.

We need to re-energize the 45-35 campaign around the SEC championship game. Assuming OU beats Mizzou they will be in. Our hopes on getting to the MNC game seem to rely completely on a close game in the SEC and then the results of the human polls.

If we continue the campaign we can do it!! Does anyone have the ability to get a 45-35 banner hung in the Georgia Dome?

They're WAY more butt-hurt over this than when we beat them on the field. It's really kind of satisfying to see them suffer, even if I do kinda feel like they got screwed. Their childish 45-35 campaign, and continued insults directed at us over this (all we did was eliminate TT from the equation) erases any empathy I may have for them.

I'm not going to be "over it" until Texas is in a real conference, on a level playing field with every other team in the conference. The fact that Oklahoma has gotten "special dispensation" from the Big XII, not once, but at least twice, doesn't sit well with me. This is NOT about not playing the Sooners...I just don't care to be in the same conference with them. For some reason, it and some of the funky rules in the Big XII that favor okie and others over Texas make me feel dirty by association. I would much rather that Texas associate with schools we have more in common with. Otherwise, we might just as well be in the SEC, which, by the way, has better rules for breaking a tie. If you feel the urge to tell me to "get over with it"...I would suggest you get over yourself!

I hope you folks don't mind me posting this, but here goes... I would create a new thread, but A) I think people might not care that much, B) it kind of applies to this thread, in regards to the 45-35 campaign posts, and C) I guess since my profile is new, I do not have rights to create new threads anyway.

I am the creator of the www.39-33.com site. Most people think that it was created by a Tech fan, however that is not the case. I am a lifelong OU fan - grew up in Oklahoma, currently live in D/FW area but still consider Oklahoma "home".

I created the site in an effort to bring attention to the fact that the scenario was/is a 3-way tie between Texas, OU, and Texas Tech; as opposed to a Head-to-Head issue between Texas and OU as many media sources were trying to portray. Also, I guess a part of me was hoping that maybe the right people would see it and it would have some small, tiny, minute impact on how they might vote :)

Reading through this thread and others, I agree that the 45-35 Texas campaign just won't die. My question to you is - are there other ideas that I can do with the site; and/or is there anything you think I should be doing to promote it more? The site is already way more popular than I thought it would be. I created it on a whim after I heard about the 45-35 effort. In my latest view of the web stats (around noon today), I have had around 9000 unique visitors, with about 35,500 total hits. I also get a large amount of fan/hate email on a daily basis... so, I'd say word has made it around quite a bit.

Anyway, just wanted to see what your thoughts were and hopefully gain a little more insight on things I can do.

Besides....all we have to do to settle the whole thing is "WIN OUT".
