That makes three coaches--no, wait FOUR--that got fired/lost their job after losing to Saban this year.

Bowden(fired)
Fulmer(forced resignation)
Croom(fired/forced resignation, depends on who you talk to)
Tuberville(fired)

He had his chances for sure. I was just telling two of my friends (Auburn grads) yesterday that TOMMY should go. They were not so sure. Who knew :D

I am not an Auburn fan by any stretch but that is a dumb *** move. Tubberville had them on a 6 game win streak against their hated rival before this year. He recently lead them to an undefeated season. His team was competing for conference championships for the previous 4 years, or so. He just lost his OC this year which could explain their offensive woes. He just lost his DC to Texas. If he ends up back at an SEC school, which is very possible, he is going to kick Auburn's *** every chance he gets.

You win 6 times in a row against Alabama still not good enough? Undefeated season... not good enough. If Leach goes there he is an idiot.

Of couse none of us know the inside situation. Maybe Tommy's burned out. However he brought a lot of that on himself with all that "revolutionary offense" spew at the beginning of the season, which was even farked. "Greatest Offense Evar"/ "Revolutionary Offense", it must be an aggie thing.

Maybe they can get Bobby Petrino now.

Bob Petrino's contract prohibits him from taking another job inside the SEC Western Division, and he has a $2.8mil buyout, per his attorney Russ Campbell, who is based in Birmingham.

What I'm seeing in this is that they were expecting Saban-like results without paying Saban-like figures.

Well, if you want your Saban-like results now you d@mn well better expect to pay Saban-like figures because no coach wants to go to a place where they'll get fired for one subpar season without getting paid shiploads of money to put up with the pressure.

I know about Jetgate, but there are still several powerful people at Auburn that would like to get Bob Petrino back to the Plains.
