Oklahoma commits (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/school?schoolId=201): five
Oklahoma added six newcomers last year -- including McDonald's All-American guard Willie Warren (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=43612) -- all of whom could start in the near future for coach Jeff Capel. In its 2009 class, OU will add another five standouts, including a strong post presence who could replace All-American Blake Griffin if he goes pro.

The Sooners have signed the No. 4-ranked fall recruiting class; it has four players who are rated in our top 100. Now in the fold are PG Tommy Mason-Griffin (Houston/Madison); PF Andrew Fitzgerald (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=44581) (Wolfeboro, N.H./Brewster Academy); SG Steven Pledger (Virginia Beach, Va./Atlantic Shores Christian); C/F Kyle Hardrick (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=42952) (Putnam City, Okla.) and C/F Keith Gallon (Mouth of Wilson, Va./Oak Hill).
Mason-Griffin will become Capel's future team leader, and, ultimately, an All-Big 12 performer. Fitzgerald is a monster on the boards, and a very physical power player. Pledger provides reliable outside firepower, and can get to the rim. If he can fully recover from the knee injury that he suffered as a junior, Hardrick has the potential to become a good college player.
But the best of the bunch is the 6-9, 300-pound Gallon. He could be among the nation's premier interior scorers by his sophomore year.

wOUld have been great to at least get Daniel Orton or Xavier Henry the two being hometown kids. However, I think Mason-Griffin, from the tape that I have watched and the voices I have heard, is gonna be a hell of a player. Pledger will provide some much needed fire-power from 3 point range. Hopefully, Gallon will stay in shape and condition, and be able to be a force inside. Haven't seen much of hardick, I know he has been injured, but think he will help us with inside depth. Fitzgerald is an undersized center, but is very athletic. Once again will help us with interior depth. Capel continues to bring in amazing recruiting classes.
