I went to the National Championship in Miami last time the sooners were there against USC. Tickets at the stadium were practically given away or sold for a small amount of $10-15. The BCS championship tickets (if OU is to go) are $175 for students from the University. Do you think there will be tickets at the stadium a lot cheaper like I stated above?

I would imagine there definitely will be. Unless you plan on sitting with alot of other people, I would count on being able to score pretty cheap tickets. I paid $150 from the university in 2005 for the Orange Bowl. My friend got much better seats for $40, 2 hours before the game.

thanks, I just don't want to get there without a ticket and then have them be outragous.

If we play Florida IN Florida, there will be extra cheap tickets?

Is that what you guys think or am I confused here?

Oh, and if we play Bama, it will be RV world in Miami. They will bring the entire state down there.

We're used to it down here.
Bring plenty of spendable monies. Keep our state income tax free.

In TGOWWDNS, it was against USC, who is a west coast school with a small alumni base, so there must not have been as high a demand from their fans. If you don't think Bamer or Florida isn't going to roll out for this game then you're crazy.

Yeah...I was there for SC too and it won't be the same thing. It is either crazy SEC fanbase A or B. Although I will still probably go down ticketless.

what do you guys think a reasonable price is for a ticket? I've been looking at firstdibz.com and they offer the chance to purchase a ticket (nosebleed) for the NC game for a fee. They are up to about $250 right now plus you have to pay face value for the ticket

~$425 seems a bit high

i do think that if one of the SEC schools is there, tickets aren't going to be as easy to come by as last time though

I already have my alarm set for 6:55 am. Student bowl game tickets go on sale at 7 am in the morning and MNC tickets are $175. I made a deal two years ago with a wealthy uncle (who lives in Florida) that if we go to the MNC in 2008, he pays for my flight and hotel in Miami. The whole trip is going to cost me $175 (charged to my bursars and paid by financial aid) plus food and drinks. We HAVE to beat Missouri! I have been waiting for this for years.

i'm really surprised they would sell tickets for a game that isn't guaranteed

People said there were cheap tickets to be had even when we were playing FSU.

There is a place when ordering where you actually select the games that you would want to buy tickets to in the case that OU goes to that game. Your bursars account is only charged if you selected a game that OU goes to. So its not like they are just selling tickets to the MNC. They are selling them to all possible bowls. Here are the prices.

Pacific Life Holiday Bowl – San Diego, CA – Dec. 30 $30.00-$75.00

Texas Bowl – Houston, TX – Dec. 30 $25.00-$75.00

Valero Alamo Bowl – San Antonio – Dec. 29 $55.00-$90.00

Petro Sun Independence Bowl – Shreveport, LA – Dec. 28 $30.00-$40.00

Brut Sun Bowl – El Paso, TX – Dec. 31 $40.00-$60.00

Insight Bowl – Tempe, AZ – Dec. 31 $55.00

AT&T Cotton Bowl – Dallas, TX – Jan. 2 $100.00

Konica Minolta Gator Bowl – Jacksonville, FL – Jan. 1 $50.00-$75.00

Rose Bowl – Pasadena, CA – Jan. 1 $145.00

Allstate Sugar Bowl – New Orleans, LA – Jan.2 $125.00

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl – Glendale, AZ – Jan. 5 $135.00

FedEx Orange Bowl – Miami, FL – Jan 1 $125.00

BCS National Championship – Miami, FL – Jan. 8 $175.00

Gotta beat Mizzou first, and that isn't a gimme, regardless of what we may think.

Yeah, sapper, you're right of course, but people gotta plan. Cut 'em some slack.

Last time I went to a bowl game was LSU in the Dome, and I didn't see not one ticket on sale down there. Not one. That was a special case, but not one.

The last time before that was FSU in the Orange Bowl, and I saw very few.

Take that for what it's worth....

Well I bought student tickets today because I figured the risk could be too great.

so do they actually charge you, or you just put in to get them?

I'm good with it, but I remember when OSU came to Norman in 2001, and EVERYBODY KNEW we would beat them, so EVERYBODY started buying up tickets to our rematch against NU.

I just get that same vibe everytime we start looking too far ahead and assuming things.

Yeah, Mizzou lost to KU last week, but before that they were 9-2 and had only lost to OSU and Texas.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer. Just sayin'...

It's not like the MNC ticket won't have some value to SOMEBODY, either way. If you really want to hedge your bet, put some money down on Mizzou to win.

You only get charged if we go to one of the bowls you selected. Also if you change your mind you can transfer the purchase to another student with season tickets.

This is OT, but if you have a positive balance on your bursar you can go to the bursar's office and they will give you a check. My scholarship is for more than the cost of school so I go every semester and get a check for the bursar and put it in a cd.

If we're not going to Miami after tonight, somebody needs to have their *** kicked.

If we don't go to Miami and if Bradford doesn't win the Heisman, i'm calling shenanigans.
