This is the remaining schedule before OU opens conference play on the road in Manhattan versus KSU.
After taking a look at these teams and judging by the few road games and how the Sooners have played away from home thus far, I have to believe their chances are good to be undefeated going into conference play.
USC, Tulsa and Arkansas are never teams to be taken lightly but all have lost to unranked and inferior teams compared to OU.
The Tulsa game may as well be on the road since it will be held in Tulsa at the BOK Center. But I am sure plenty of Sooner fans will be in attendance at that game.
USC is at home and barring a complete collapse OU should win that.
Arkansas is a road game, they have already lost to the likes of Missouri State and have not had a good team there in years.
I would put Utah on the list of teams to watch out for, but they lost their first game of the season to a Division II team Southwest Baptist U.
VCU is the only other team I give a slim chance of pulling off the upset in a normal season, but they seem to be in a rebuilding mode now that Capel's recruits have graduated and they are only 3-3 on the season.
What are your thoughts? Will the Sooners stay unbeaten into conference play and beyond?
Will the Texas game in Norman be the first true test? If so what will the Whorns record be at that time?
This season has the promise to become a very special one and I want to follow it every step of the way. With the recent developments in football, this could be a great year for Sooners no matter the sport!
