Someone else gets it.
Finally.
ooc scheduling needs to be upgraded if you want to be a top 10 team.

couple that with delaying the polls until the 5th week and we would have a more accurate ranking schedule.
oh, and bring back the sos factor into rankings, not just relying on "but they play in the <insert your favorite conference> conference, and they are always tough.

Good stuff. Here's hoping we beat Missouri and put the hurt on the SEC this year.

The Sporting News also had a good take on the three-way tie...

Of course, Billingsley is from Hugo, OK, but I like his take.

That article backs up what I have said about the GREAT ? SEC defenses. They play lame non-con schedules and play lame offenses in conference.

I've been saying this for years. SEC schedules wusses during the non-con so they can all go into their conference schedules with no, or very few, losses...and THEN they whine about how tough the SEC is.

Here's the real genius of the SEC plan, though. Surely, after a few consecutive years, even the dumb***es at ESPN might begin to notice this wussy non-conference scheduling, right? To combat that eventual realization, they now have intermixed their non-conference games with their conference games. Why? So that media can look and see that teams like Alabama and Georgia played early, and it draws attention away from the fact that both teams have played a horrendous out-of-conference schedule overall.

In reality, it's pure genius. It would be nice if it were exposed by some intelligent, non-biased journalist...but as we've learned this week, those kinds of journalists don't exist anymore. The SEC knows that the media is to friggin' stupid to catch on, and they continue to benefit from it.
