He went to church this morning and thanked God that Lofton went to the NFL.

Well, if OU wins the CCG game that will be four wins against Missouri in the past three seasons. He has been the QB in all of those losses.

2006
26-10 at Missouri

2007
41-31 in Norman
38-17 at San Antonio

Actually I bet Booger is rather happy that he doesn't have to face Texas' D again, as they are healthy. On the other hand, we'll be w/o AE, RR, and AB and we're never sure which defense shows up --- the one that dominated the likes of Tech and Nebraska and hits them in the mouth or our "Sieve" defense that chases receivers and drags them down from behind after the catch. Now you have to throw Sammy's injury into the equation and we may really need our banged up defense to step up and play a complete game like they did against Tech. Also this is Booger's last stand for some spek'.
.... We're coming into KC wounded and in a no-win situation again in that either winning a close game or losing could possibly send Texas to the BCS CC game. This is a game if we stink it up, we'll never hear the end of it from not only the press but the other posters. A huge challenge for our coaches to prepare well and our players to execute well and not just go through the motions and take this game as a given.

Better not kid yourself, Booger and the whole team see this as a dream come true, one last crack at the sooners and a chance to end a dissapointing season on a great note, and what will be practically a home field.

Take these guys seriously, they've got nothing to lose.

Their Defensive Coordinator should be scared, but I doubt very few folks are scared of our defense. I know here in the Southeast the SEC teams are licking their chops, I've seen it posted in more than 1 spot that the SEC Championship is really for the National Championship.

Even though Chase is a small tiny little guy I'm sure he is looking forward to playing us.

I love the play were he fumbled and our D picked up the ball and ran in. Chase was hanging on to him and had a free air ride to the end zone. I think Chase had like one little skip in 10 yards, priceless.

I'll grant you great D's win championships, but I like our chances with a solid D and an O that can put points on the board when it needs to do so. That and a little more Sooner Magic.

He had a couple of hissy fits yesterday I noticed against Kansas. Compare him to Zac Robinson last night.

I can see it already. 3rd and long...Nic Harris on a safety blitz rushes in and rocks Chase's world. Chase goes off the field crying and throwing his helmet around like the little b*tch he is

Hmm - I think Robinson has more class than Booger. Daniel has always seemed like a crybaby spoiled brat kind of kid. I don't think our coaches will let our guys take this game for granted. It's likely to be cold, maybe rainy or snowy. But weather aside, the competitiveness of this team has been amazing this season, especially since Dallas.

Mizzou lost a heartbreaker in KC yesterday to a good KU team - I think we'll put a hurt on them that will make Pinkel wish he hadn't taken that contract extension.

Yep. These guys will be very much like K-State in 2003.

I surely don't want to be over confident. We need to go prepared like this is the toughest game on our schedule. Bad things can happen, they have before.

Yup. If anything bad happens in the passing game, it's automatically the receiver's fault. I wonder what the Mizzou receiving corp really thinks of Chase.

Things like that have been said before only to turn out to be different. The SEC hasn't seen offenses like the Big 12 has played this year, most of the SEC has bad to pathetic offenses so it makes their defenses look better than they actually are. A conference full of bad offenses can skew defensive numbers upward just like a conference full of good offenses can skew defensive numbers down.

3/66 - Oklahoma
4/71 - Texas Tech

23/96 - Kansas
35/117 - Kansas State
42/111 - Iowa State
48/86 - Baylor

Most didn't face anyone out of conference very good on offense either, there are a few like Tulsa, Texas and Rice.
