Stoops confirmed this in his press conference just now.

He is scheduled to have surgery on it after the Big 12 championship game and will have a soft cast on it for the bowl games.

Thank you Sam for being such a great player, and having the heart to continue on in the game.

We are blessed to have you as a QB.

Happened on the 3rd series. Bob says that's the reason for the 2 fumbled snaps and the reason we were in the shotgun so much. Sammy will probably have surgery after the season, but he'll play with it wrapped next week. Bob says it shouldn't be a problem.

Don't think that sounds very good for us. I rmember a hurt Josh Heupel and a hurt Jason White and the results weren't pretty.

Guess this means another game of running 100% out of the shotgun. That's not good.

sh*t
He looked great last night out of the gun with a bum hand, but it will be interesting to see how much he can practice after surgery.
Also, not being able to go into the I-formation takes a lot of plays out of our arsenal.

We won a NC with a hurt Heupel. Still...

I think those injuries were both throwing hand.

We also had a very good defense that year.

Just make the cast out of two sided tape.

problem solved.

White's was the hand, Heupel was the arm. Sam is a Sooner like those before him. He was physically able to compete last night with the injury. Evidently he's tough as nails and we all know he's a winner. We'll be fine with Mizzou and he should be much better in 5 or 6 weeks.

I honestly think we could beat Missouri with Joey starting. Mizzou D is horrible, horrible.

Relax. It ain't his slinging hand. They'll shoot it full of cortisone and tape the crap out of it and he'll complete passes.

Hell Heupel had to have his elbow drained regularly before the MNC game.

Why would Stoops go out of his way to call a Presser and announce this when he is usually mum about injuries? - "it's just a flesh wound..." ;)
...Psych! ??

Rant...

The refs and aggots sucked!!! How about the replay where Box got hurt, the aggot low blocked or chopped block him to hurt his knee. F'ing aggies, Karma is a bitch.
