...and if Texas and OU were to play tomorrow...they'd all put their money on OU.
OU just put up over 60 points (again) on the #12 team in the country on their home field, but if you'd listen to Herbstreit, Corso, Musberger, or May you'd think we just beat a 4-8 team that couldn't tie their shoes against Arkansas State.
...which is exactly Texas A&M's profile....the same sorry squad Texas just beat in Austin (leading by a measly touchdown after one quarter and only 21-3 at halftime).
OU put up 66 on those aggies after 3 quarters in College Station and Baylor beat them by 20 points.
Conspiracy theories are for suckers...but anyone can discern that ABC/ESPN definitely has an agenda in this one.
OU will be incredibly lucky tomorrow to withstand the ABC/ESPN push for Texas.
In any event, I'm really proud of our team. There were no clunkers this year...no Boise State or WV games...no Colorado or ISU games where we didn't show up because we didn't look interested.
OU smacked around everyone they played...we lost a game against a solid (not great) team when we lost our MLB to a season-ending injury after handling them nicely for 2.5 quarters. Whatever happens happens. It's just too bad there isn't an impartial fourth estate in the one sport that demands one.
