The OU/Texas game was the game of the year (up until the Texas/Tech game). Everybody saw it and knew about it. They know Texas beat OU and they still voted us above them. It's not as if those voters forgot about that last week when they voted. There may be a few voters who sway back towards Texas, but I bet there are a few who are swayed away by their pandering all week long. I could be wrong...but I just don't think there are that many voters out there this week that are saying to themselves "Oh yeah...I forgot about that!"
With all of that said, I fully expected to see a commercial during this game featuring a kid dying from cancer whose last wish was to see Texas play for the national championship.
"Please vote for Texas. My doctors say it's the only thing that can save me."
It was about the only thing we DIDN'T see.
