I liked the other thread even better about banning the nOObs. Good God has there been a ton of them lately, they like starting thread after stupid *** thread about the same stuff, and they're just generally dumbas's.

Some of the stuff posted over on the FB board tonight has been among the most dumas stuff I've seen on here. The thing is most of these new nOObs are too dumb to know how dumas they are. :D

Nyeah, it's not cookies. Either the server is getting hosed by all kinds of traffic or MySQL/Apache have run out of RAM and need to be restarted (trust me, it happens, even on Linux).

Given the way some of them have acted over the few weeks it wouldn't surprise me for one of the to have launched a bot to hammer the site.

You know, FWIW, that sort of thing is actually against federal law because this site is colorably an instrumentality of interstate commerce -- you know, the ads and such. There's a federal statute that makes it practically a strict liability crime to jack with such electronic instrmentalities, meaning no matter why you did it; no defenses apply. The statute includes a civil remedy that includes grounds for a civil lawsuit. That's not to mention the state law claim for tortious interference with business. All that to say, if you can narrow down the sucka who did it, you can sue him in federal court. Then, even if you never get a dime out of him because he's a broke loser who lives in his mom's basement, he'll still spend over $10K on lawyers defending himself. Just saying.;)
