TWICE that needle-dick waited to call false start on us until our guys had run halfway down the field, but the one time he can't avoid calling false start on OSU he blasts that whistle before OSU can even THINK about snapping the ball. Block in the back, OSU after the 9 yard Zac Robinson scramble. Original LOS OU 42, 3rd and 10. Rushes to the OU 33, 9 yard carry. Block in the back, OSU. 10 yard penalty, replay 3rd Down.

Ball is promptly spotted at the OU 42 yard line, 3rd and 10.

In other words, DO OVER. It's cool. Two problems here. 1) Yardage counts and is assessed after the run. Kicker is, it's not a dead ball foul. And you wouldn't replay the down. And if this was the case, the spot would be the 43, as it was originally spotted at the 42 (dead money on the line). 2) Yardage DOESN'T count, 3rd down, 10 yards from the previous spot. Previous spot was the 42. Which would've been 3rd and 20 from the OSU 48, replay the down.

To my knowledge, block in the back is a spot foul. Spot of the foul took place beyond the yardage gained, therefore minus 10 yards from the end of the result of the play, which would've been 3rd and 11 from the 43, which wouldn't be far off, but still wrong from the results of the spot as per Article 10, Sec. a.

yep....saw that too...and it was called after BIG plays...was this Zebra at the OU TX game in 82??...during the big rainstorm we got screwed in??

Just a pitiful managed game by Christal's crew tonight. From the obvious 2 fumble missed calls on the field, to the awful communication with the replay official, to them communicating and explaining the calls to the fans both on TV and in the stadium. Both Bible and Christal need to retire gracefully after this season or just flat be fired by the Big 12.
