In '86 my Dad scored some pretty good osu-colorado seats, you know in the old lewis field area where ushers kept people from walking unless they had tix to those sections...
Dad struck up a conversation about the Ice Bowl (the previous Nov) with an old-guy usher. Usher said "Yeah, that was the coldest game ever... here's the funny thing: When everybody had gone and we were fixing to shut off the stadium lights, one of us noticed a couple of folks still sitting way up in the corner. It was a guy and his girlfriend, both drunk out of their minds. In fact, the girl had peed her pants...and was frozen to the bleachers!" Laughs. "They were just sitting there, loopy, about to die. We went to the concession stand, they still had some urns of coffee they hadn't dumped yet, so we poured that all around her and got her thawed out and unstuck..."
Had those ushers not rescued the drunken pokes, they would definitely have been Darwin award winners..:D
