I was lucky enough to be standing on the sidelines for the brawl in Norman this past weekend. And when I say, "Brawl," I mean BRAWL. I don't know that I've ever seen a Sooner team more focused or more determined to play physical. I would elaborate, but I'm not sure how becoming that would be.
In any case, after the game I was just trying to be helpful by aiding the fellas cleaning up the sideline. Water coolers on the trailer, spare pads on the rack, etc... That kind of thing. While doing so, I heard two position coaches talking about the world... They weren't serious, just jabbering like we all do.
"So, what do you think now?"
"I think that team that played tonight was the best in the country."
"I'd have to agree, but who should they play to prove it?"
"The only team even close is Texas."
And in a perfect world, isn't that what would happen?
Ohh... and I'd to close with an "I told you so."
Travis Lewis. He's a leader now.
