I saw the schooner sitting by the curb a couple weeks ago. Any word on when it opens?

Saw that last night - it's around 38th & Peoria, in the same shopping center as Weber's Root Beer Stand.

If they would just open one up somewhere closer to downtown (as in walking distance from my office)...

To be fair, one time PG and I went to Eschbach's for the sole reason of getting one of their fried onion appetizers and a beer, and they had run out of onions. How the **** do you manage to run out of onions?

And Switzer's chicken place was too far north - no one goes up there. If it had been in the middle of town it would have been fine.

Darryl Ray has a BBQ place on Lindsey - had it last weekend and was pretty good.

Never had the chance to ry Billy's BBQ.

He did, and it didn't go well. It didn't last long at all. I never got to eat there, but I want to, so I might go to Edmond to try it.

I have been to JR's and I really like it. What are some of the other great, and possibly less known BBQ places within decent driving distances of Norman?
