Hot off the copier at the BIG XII office on Hwy 114 - next year the two teams with the highest BCS ranking at the end of the season, regardless of division, will play in the Conference Championship game.

I suspect that for once we got the advantage with our game time schedule.
Last night's win was the last important game of the day, it was in prime time on National ABC, and most of the voters in the Coach's poll got a chance to watch the game.
if it had been at 3:30 in the afternoon, they would have had to rely on reports of the game or "assistants" to decide for them how impressive OU really looked.
All in all, a bit of Sooner Magic occured to get us to number 2 in the Coach's poll since they got to watch the blowout.

if they do that, it kinda makes the "Division Championship" not so important?
might as well do away with the divisions

i think i'd rather see the 2nd best team playing in a BCS game than that

it seems like it would make it harder for the Big 12 champ to play for the MNC

i'm not sure why they would want those two things

it's not like the South team is going to have that much better of a record than the North team this year

This rule would be almost a dead-sure guarantee that you would have OU-Texas twice a year 4 out of every 5 or 6 years. Think about it excluding this year, the winner of that game, regardless who it is, doesn't want to play it again.
