There were at least two penalties on Tech that were directly attributed to crowd noise.

Every fan at that was at the game deserves a game ball for the effort!

I second that!! That was huge!! I would love to see that energy in that stadium every home game. The fans played a BIG role tonight and that is what Oklahoma football should be.

Crowd was loud and Owen Field looked beautiful on all of the Blimp shots. Great pub for our athletic dept, Sooner Football, and OU in general. BTW, game ball to DB. He changed the OU ad.

That "creepy" football player of whom you speak is Davin Joseph - all All American who is tearing folks up for Tampa Bay. A great athlete and a good kid!

its just creepy that hes holding a ballerina and both are standing still as statues. the concept is more creepy than the actual dude.

I always wondered which player that was!

If Bob doesn't recognize the crowd, it is a shame!

He walked around the entire stadium and tipped his cap to the fans so I think he recognized what we did. I just wish it was like that every game. That was so much fun! I can't believe how great it was.

The atmosphere at the game tonight was the best I've ever seen, and I've been going to OU games since 2003. Some of the plays during the 1st half were louder than anything I've ever heard there. It seemed like most of the crowd was there until the end of the 3rd quarter and left when it was clear the game was over. It was absolutely rocking for pretty much the entire game.

He already did on the radio after the game. He bowed to the north endzone, and waved...great job in recognizing the fans.

But section 16 is the awesome anyways

Absolutely insane game. I fell over about 20 times in the crowd of jumping students. What may have been hard to notice on the tv was how serious the crowd took the game. Obviously everyone was screaming till their lungs bled while the tech offense was on the field, but they all shut the heck up when our offense came on. The whole student section remained until the end and the players rewarded them with a victory lap that I had never seen occur before. OU always seems to find a way to surprise the nation just when they start to doubt how good they are. Picking against us at home? pffft :pop:

That stadium was AWESOME tonight. The crowd jumping up and down looked amazing from my perch on the upper deck. It was even loud up there, too. No one sat down the entire game, and believe me, that is rare in Sec 103.

I heard Coach Stoops give a game ball to the crowd on the radio on my way home, so he was definately pleased with the corwd.

Just a FANtastic experience!!!!!!

I used my voice sparingly in the close Gardner Webb win (MBB), ignored pregame chants, and spoke in a very low voice up until kickoff.

My voice is gone. I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow when we play #4 UNC.

This one has now set the bar. I was there for OU v. oSu '84, v NU '85, @ Miami '87 (OB) and NU '00. This game blew even those, and they were all very loud crowd-involved games, out of the water.

I've been to other venues, including a couple SEC ones in college (between the hedges in Athens and Auburn), and that's the loudest I've heard any, bar none.

I've been to all but one (NU this year) home game since 99, and that was incredible. We were yelling on their very last possession like it was the first half! It was like we were all trying to make Bob proud, and I think we accomplished that. Just insane. Another reason why kickoffs should never be at 11 a.m. :D

I noticed throughout the day the Tech fans would get noisy without much if any response from the thousands around. It was like... we will have a purpose with OUr Noise. Then it was unleashed.. wow, just wow. Can't talk.

I am glad I can still type, because I can not talk. I tried to use my cell to call home last night, but the phone would not recognize my voice. I had to dial it:D

My BIL yelled so much he gave himself a headache.... Good times..

And I agree, I have had season tickets for the last 14 yrs and this was the loudest game bar none.

I now have a week old baby, so needless to say I couldn't make it to the game, but the OU party was still at our house and I kept staring at the TV and repeating "I can't believe I'm not there, I can't believe I'm not there". The place was electric! GREAT JOB!!!!

85,600 or something like that, I think. A lot of energy last night in the stands. I would say last night was #2 behind NU 2000, with OSU 2003 #3. Everybody was having a great time.

Yes, they showed it. I thought it was just the student section at first but the cameral focused on a few sections for several seconds, then moved to show several more sections for a several seconds and then showed a wide view from the blimp. We could tell everyone was jumping in the entire stadium. It was awesome. All I could think was Bob must be beaming now. Then it showed the players-everybody going crazy. Best of all, Herbstreit and Mushburger kept their mouths closed and let the celebration continue. Does anyone have it on video?
