Hey, the guy has brought it tonight. I'm not talking trash on him, for at least another week.:)

He's had some terrible game plans before, but the defense is playing brilliantly tonight. I expected at least 28 points out of TTU this evening, but OU is absolutely dominating. One very good game does NOT forgive the myriad of terrible ones (like almost every bowl game), but it's nice to see!

We still have OkSU next week, then (hopefully), Missouri. Certainly isn't easy after this one...

I haven't exactly down right insulted him, but I've certainly not been pleased with how the D has performed in some games. Props to him here, though. The offense was great but the D won this game. Best defensive performance I've seen from our Sooners in some time. Aggressive but not over pursuing, great reads, excellent schemes. Did I mention aggressive? Loved the pressure. Great job, D.

Bob Barry said after the game that Brent has been announced as Bob's successor, effective sometime around 2025. ;)

He did a hell of a job getting them ready tonight.

He does this in a big bowl game against an unfamiliar opponent then I'll give him full props.

Exactly! Lets do this constitantly. Next week against lite, the CCG, and then the BCS!!! Do that, and he's "THE MAN"

I hope BV continues the good work he's done the past two weeks and is offered a HC position after the MNC game against Florida.

this isn't just playing well, this is an attacking agressive D that is pulling blitzes outta their azz. These are some really well designed, unique blitz packages that have Harrell backpedaling. Havent seen blitzing like this from OU in a long time. Good on you, BV.

YAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!! 3 games in 4 years, which I'm still not sure aren't due to intervention of Bob, where the defense isn't being *** raped and you guys are ready to tea bag this dumb ***!?!! Amazing. C'mon Clemson, Vulnerables is THE MAN!!!!

Gotta give it to BV.

Not only did the D play outstanding, but that was with the added bonus of Tech averaging starting from midfield because our kicker either kicks it OB or to the 30, or directly into the defender in front of him.

Just an unbelievable job tonight by the Defense. BV deserves all the credit in the world.

Exactly, so those hanging on BV's jock would be well advised to be cautious.

BV should get alot of the credit, but i think you are seeing a bunch of young players growing up late in the season; on the broadcast tonight they said OU only had 2 starters on defense that started in the Big 12 Championship game last season;not sure if that was right but McCoy and Holmes were all i could come up with, but thought Beal might have started that game

I had a thought during that game that maybe the Defense doesn't really LIKE Venables that much, and maybe they wanted him to get offered a Head Coaching job somewhere else.. :)

I believe you said I would be eating lots of crow after Venables got rolled by Tech...btw when are you going to post something positive about OU.

No matter the disussion on BV, tonight's not the time to be having it. We rolled 'em.

I've raised questions whether or not BV's the guy to lead this defense in the past.

It's only fair that I give him and his unit props for a display of utter domination.

Quite simply, that was all kinds of awesome.

And to Donovan Lewis of Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket here in Dallas, I'd like to say the following:

Texas Tech's offense is not unstoppable.

Some guys seem like they would like us to lose so they could keep badmouthing BV rather than have us win. They don't want to be proven wrong.

How very insightful. Yep, there is an entire army of us that want OU to lose just so we can badmouth Venables.

McCoy and Harris. Holmes was the nickle corner, the starters were Reggie Smith and Marcus Walker with DJ Wolfe as the other starting safety.

Yeah, I'm back on the bandwagon. But to be fair, he didn't give up 40 in a big game this time. The D held them to 34. So that's an improvement.

Another good outing by the defense.
They really impressed me last night.

I remain a skeptic though. They just haven't been consistent and worry me every week. oSu and Texas are very good, but they lit this D up like a Christmas tree. I have an idea about the scheme last night in KC.

A crap Mizzou team hangs 21 on us and I'm supposed to lay off Vulnerables. Ha! No one should score on us except maybe our basketball team.
