OU/techy game line

The line is at 7 points for OU right now. The over / under is 75 1/2. How are we not ranked higher than tech. If the odds say we will win.

Because oddsmakers don't set lines based on who they think the better team is. They set lines to attempt to bring equal money on both teams. Particularly when you have a team that's a nationally-recognized program with a passionate fanbase (and thus has more people who are willing to bet on them with their hearts rather than their heads) the line doesn't really reflect a lot on who the oddsmakers think is the better team.

What is interesting is the line moved from 6.5 to 7 OU. I thought it would go the other way.

We were favored against number 1 Missouri last year in the Big 12 Championship, go figure !!! lol

a lot of it has to due with the fact that OU fans are very notorious for going out and betting a ton on the sooners thus driving up the line 3-4 points higher then it should be.

Rankings really don't mean ****,

Remember the BYU vs TCU game? The mighty BYU team was ranked 8th and tcu was not ranked, The game was @ TCU , yet tcu was favored 2 points over the number 8 team in the country.. hahaha
