i seem to remember seeing that once, but i don't remember needing to do anything special to fix it

The AVG forum says this happens when the update servers are busy, try again later.

AVG's been updating nearly daily of late. A couple of new viruses out there now that are tagging gullible people.

Along with Update failed I get "The connection To server Failed " notice
Should I Uninstall then reinstall it ?

Have some OVJ and wait it out, I think AVG is just overloaded so you should do the same. :D

that happens to me a lot and usually it fixes itself. this is different.
i'll wait a day or so (it's been a couple days)...and then maybe uninstall/reinstall
