View Full Version : PIT vs CIN - I was so confused

I was half watching that GT/Miami game and I kept seeing the PIT/CINNY score and I was so confused. I knew they played this week, but I couldn't imagine having 2 Thurs. night games that conflicted. And which channel was it on? Finally realized it was an NFL game on that for-pay NFL station. Thought there was a tear in the space-time continuum (and I hate it when that happens).

Back to waiting for Sat....

And I just rocketed over to ESPN to check the score and was about to lose my mind before clicking to the college scoreboard and seeing that the game is on Saturday!

Thanks for the scare! lol

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing. Sadly, my wife had to tell me it was the NFL.

Hopefully the "other" team wins this time.

NFL Network isn't a "for pay" channel, it is included in my Directv package.

That's in your base $24.99 package, right ?;)

There actually have been several "two-game" Thursday nights this season. Just a few weeks ago TCU played Utah (a big game) at the same time ESPN carried Maryland v Virgina Tech (wtf?).

I have an expanded cable pckage, and I get all the MWC games. I watched the Utah/TCU game because I couldn't give a rat's *** about Maryland or Virginia Tech!

Yeah, that's why I was looking for the other channel. I found the Utah/TCU game on a another cable channel (but not in HD).

So Direct is free ? They are all pay for TV anymore.

Yup, I'm guilty of the same thing, saw the score before my first cup of coffee and thought bad thoughts towards Cincy Bearcats.

Comcast?

I have the "additional sports" package. I get all the Fox Sports regional chanels plus the Big Ten Network (wtf?) and the Mountain (which is what the TCU/Utah game was on).

For some reason, Comcast doesn't carry any Fox Sports channels in HD. Fortunately, MoJo picks up the Fox Sports Net Rocky Mt. games. And since they cover most of the OU games on Fox, we get them in HD.

Bluedogok,

As a young'n growing up, my dad always had a couple of Australian Blue Healers on the farm. We had around 100 head of cattle here on our "Georgia" ranch and it was fun watching the dogs work them.
I now have 2 bassethounds, how sad is that ?

LOL....I did the same thing last night too. I even saw the stats for Rothliesberger scroll across the bottom and thought "Geez, that's wierd that Pitt has a quarterback named Rothliesberger too....I wonder if it's Ben's brother"......then I figured it out and felt really dumb.
