This is something along the lines of a shameless plug, but a friend of mine recently released a book.

I just picked up a copy today (I pre-ordered from Amazon but it never showed up), so I've only made it through the first chapter. However, I'm familiar enough with his writing to be able to recommend it. He is funny, often crude, and always irreverent. And the best part -- I'm in it! I'm the last name mentioned in the acknowledgments, I'm the "lawyer friend in New York" on page 288, and I'm one of the "friends" at the dinner on page 292. I'm famous!!!

eta: He keeps a blog here: http://www.philalawyer.net/

If its endorsed by Tucker Max, then I'm reading it.

Tucker Max introduced him to his agent. Strangely, I had a hand in that (which is the reason for his acknowledgment of me). I had happened to visit TM's board for the first time in several months and saw that he was hosting a fundraiser in Philadelphia. I passed on the info to the Philadelphia Lawyer thinking he might enjoy the party, not knowing he basically had a book in the can. He met Tucker, they clicked, and now he has a book out for which he received an advance that allowed him to quit his job. Life is funny sometimes.

Memo to self: start writing book.

Heck, I work with a woman who went to Duke Law School with him. She nearly hit the roof when she found out he had a development deal with Comedy Central.
