okay, so the jackasses just took our game systems (ps2's, a couple wiis, a 360, and my freakin super nintendo of all things.). could have been much worse as we have all of our band equipment here). so as far as valuables go, we came out pretty well.

but anyhoo, my question is this. i have purchased games on my wii before. and i did it with my debit card, not those wii points you buy at the store. i can't remember for the life of me, but is your card information stored on the wii after you purchase something? like if they boot up my wii, will they have access to information like that? i haven't played the thing in months so i can't remember. same goes for an xbox live account. i already bought a new 360 and i can then recover my acct and change pw's and whatnot, so thats not too big a concern. if anybody can shine some light on this for me, they'll have some green spek coming their way.

You know what? I wouldn't worry about it even if were possible. The kids who stole your game systems are going to take them to a pawn shop and sell them for pennies on the dollar. Either that, or they will play with them at their Honeycomb Hide-out. They aren't gonna try to crack your credit card account.

...and for the record, you were'nt robbed unless you were home and they threatened you with violence if you didn't give them the crap. You, my friend, are a larceny victim. Probably a burglary victim too.;)

I bet they stole all your comic books but left your porn...didn't they? :D ;)

Sorry to hear ya got hit def.

Homey's probably right but just to be on the safe side. I'd get that card canceled and re-issued. My Bank does it right on the spot and issued me a temporary Debit Card so I could get money from the ATM. The New Debit Card was delivered by mail after a few days.

It was a hassle but I felt safer about access after it was over.

Sorry to hear that, def. I've been there; last summer, I had my cell phone swiped while riding the Shock Wave at Six Flags. It's an awful feeling, but in the long run, I've learned not to trust anyone in public places. I keep my cell phone and other necessary valuables with me pretty much at all times.

Hope they catch the idiots who stole your game systems. And if anyone's wondering, the Arlington P.D. still hasn't nabbed the idiot who stole my cell phone, but I got an even better phone thanks to my little sis.

I was robbed a couple of months ago and they took my Xbox, stereo, computer, guitar, AND my porn. There's nothing for me to do in my apartment now.

Good thing they didn't steal all the candles on your Booger Pickens shrine, huh?

apparently they did, why you think they lost so much money on the funds?

You have a user ID that goes with the Wii that connects you do the games and such you downloaded - if you have that number written down somewhere, you might be able to recoup your downloads and prevent future downloads from the stealer. It might be useful in finding your stolen system, also.

As for the 360, you might get lucky and have a dumb thief like this guy. (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/03/26/xbox-thief-thwarted-by-community-and-live-idiocy/)

I'm sorry you lost your games :( It might be time to invest in an indoor dog or security system.

Keep a look out on craigslist for your stolen stuff for a few weeks.

Ah, the life of a college student. Sigh!!! To be able to find the time to play all of those video games and jam on your guitar!!! Oh well, I guess all good things must come to an end and some of us have to work. I guess we can all quit or jobs soon as soon as we start redistributing the wealth! :D

Seriously, sorry you got your stuff stolen. I would play it safe and get new cards issued.
