2 Dogs, the wife, and I are taking a 16 hour drive.

If you had to chose between a Pontiac G6 or a Toyota Corolla, what would you pick?

Which one has the biggest trunk?

Srsly, I think the G6 is a little bigger. Bigger is better.

Both have four doors right? Four doors would be a must.

...and I'd go Pontiac.

Both have four doors, but I guess I'm wondering if the G6 has more power. I suppose I could just google it. :D

Well... It looks like the G6 has more power, but the Corolla gets 7 more miles per gallon. This is tough.

One basset and one flat coat. They will definitely occupy the entire back seat.

Forget the mileage AND the power. Take whichever is bigger.

I'm thinking the G6 is bigger, but I'll have to look.

My mom has a Corolla, it's been a great car for her, but it's not very big.

Oh, but I'm a highway man. I love the open road, a can of DP, and some Johnny Cash Albums.

um, the G6 (i'm assuming it's a v6) will be much better for the mountains then the corolla

I'd take the Corolla. The G6 is a lot smaller than it looks on the inside - the two cars have very nearly the same interior room. And although the G6 has considerably more power, it also outweighs the Corolla by about 700 pounds. The Corolla's trunk is bigger than one would think too.

I'd not take either, I'd get the Toyota RAV4.

Aye, but on a shoestring budget, that extra hundred adds up quickly.

I'm telling you, Hertz with a AAA discount was pretty reasonable.

Base price was like $228 for a week, plus the add on days.

and the RAV 4 was a nice ride. comfy and big enough for me to ride and drive.

You're right. It would be a good deal if it wasn't during the week of Turkey Day. However, I called and got a quote for the Camry which was only 20 bucks more. That'll make for a nicer ride than the corolla for sure.
