Sort of. I guess you could say 10 wins is about a top-10 finish. His bonus-able material is as follows:
a) $250,000 to win BCS national title
b) $150,000 to appear in BCS national title
c) $100,000 to appear in BCS bowl
d) $80,000 to win Big 12 title
e) $75,000 to finish in BCS top 10
f) $30,000 to be named Big 12 coach of the year
My source is
here, which shows that all Big 12 contracts offer bonuses. (http://newsok.com/article/3272564)

I know you're not asking, but I found Mike Stoops contract bonus info by mistake... more on Mikey's bonuses here. (http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/wildcats/158169)

Speaking of, an interesting note on Mike Gundy's contract is that he gets a $5,000 bonus to beat OU in front of home sellout and $3,000 to do the same against Nebraska, Kansas State, Texas and Texas A&M.

So really, fellow Sooners, Holder is not trying to sell out the stadium or make money by forcing season ticket sales on the Pokes. He's just trying to weasel his way out of paying Gundy a bonus :D

Can A, B, and C all be added together?

I don't think so... but it's not like he needs even more money. He's already the highest paid state employee in Oklahoma :D

Cue people that don't understand football: :les: EDUCATION! Why isn't Stoops' salary funding education?! Why are we spending millions on a football program instead of LIBRARY BOOKS?! We should use Stoops' salary to funding Oklahoma schools or even improve our roads and bridges! Why are my tax dollars going to fund a football team anyway?! [hairGel]

Psst... if you are one of those people asking those exact question, (1) the football program funds itself and (2) it subsidizes OU academics to the tune of $4 million, and (3) nobody reads library books anymore, that's why you're reading this right now on a computer screen and (4) Stoops' salary wouldn't be enough to repair the roads in even ONE county and finally (5) Oklahoma's schools are already the highest funded program in the state.

And when he got a bonus a couple of years ago he donated a chunk o' change to the Library.
