Yay!

and, FWIW, while doing my annual perusal of deer hunting regulations provided by the good folks at the Oklahoma Dept. of Wildlife, in comic book format no less, It is my duty to inform you yahoos:

It is illlegal in Oklahoma to link a remotely manipulable firearm via the innerweb to a remote computer, the operator of said computer being capable of pulling the trigger on said remote firearm via mouseclick or keystroke.

so there.

what if instead of a keystroke or mouseclick, the input to the remotely-controlled firearm is the computers microphone, which will trigger the firearm when two 'claps' are heard?
Much like the clapper...

Or perhaps controlled by a joystick? Are they being a little too specific there?

My mom has went and scheduled family stuff on the opening and closing weekend of gun season. :(

Hopefully I'll get another big buck over Thanksgiving.

I bagged my last moose by setting up a laptop with a purdy female moose on the screen. Next to the laptop was a sign that read:

Hey Moose! please choose your payment method on the touch screen.

Worked beautifully.

A couple of years ago, I was about a mile or so behind an SUV that got a whole lot of damage from a deer. It (the deer) thought it could jump across the highway. Landed on the SUV's windshield and ended up in the front seats. They shut down the highway and had a helicopter come get the driver and passenger to a hospital. Not sure if they made it.

I've never hit one but have come close a couple of times driving between here and Topeka and out in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. You hunters aren't doing a good enough job keeping the herds thinned out. ;)

I'll be in the stand opening morning.

It took about 10 minutes to collect my buck during Blackpowder.

I never miss with my TC Encore...we'll leave the internet hunting to the whorns.

Bring it? Heck man, no self-respecting Okie goes anywhere without a deer rifle under the seat.

I can guarantee you that you couldn't get my Browning Bar 30-06 under the seat of my car.

If I hadn't sold that darn gas guzzling Ford Lariat...I wouldn't have even posted about bringing it. :D

In 2005, I hit a deer on the Turner Turnpike (mm 153 east) going 78mph in a semi.

It was one hell of a *thud*

I tried to miss her but she kept "walking into the headlights" as I swirved, and there is just so much you can turn the wheel of semi at that speed.

The company was out a bumper.

I had to stop and crawl under the truck to turn off a valve on an air-tank that opened up, and there was a lot of goo everywhere.

We lost our place to hunt a few weeks ago. I may not get to go for the first time in several years unless I can figure something up.
