Texas gained 22 points and we lost 9. This should switch heavily in our favor if we beat Tech.

Saw that coming.

Danielson made one good point during yesterday's Florida lovefest broadcast.

The coaches get one vote after the Tech game that isn't made public. That vote will likely determine the Big XII CCG team from the South. If there is a three-way tie, prior to the last game of the season, I don't think Leach has a chance in the voting, and frankly, I see Mack getting more love than Bob.

After the OSU game, the votes will be made public...but by then, it may not matter as the die have been cast.

I could also see:

We beat Tech and pull slightly ahead of the Whorns. A firestorm of protest comes from babyshilt orange nation for a week, backed up by the media talking heads. We win a tough game against aggy while the whorns blow away aTm. The week of rhetoric changes the Coaches and Harris voter's minds...do the computers give us enough to keep us #3?

The Coaches are idiots.... they switched Texas ahead of us, yet they have Mizzou ahead of OSU...

I thought we played pretty flat against Bye Week. Especially for a home game.

I thought the defense underperformed against Bye as well.

...and yes I'm blaming BV.

I see no problem with UT being ahead of us right now, they beat us and mizzou, and osu, we beat cincy and tcu. Now if we go beat Tech and OSU we should be ahead of them considering that would be a top 2 victory and a possible other top 10 victory.

I think the writing is on the wall. The powers that be are not going to let OU get to KC over texas. Let's just win and see if mizzou can throw out some mojo in KC. I do think mizzou can take texas down in kc.

A 35-34 win over TT would be nice, a 42-24 win would be even better

Bingo. But that second score sounds better at another 60-15 route.

It would be nice to see Oklahoma State get in the top 10 before we play them.

I agree about 'The Powers to Be" - They are all getting in their Mode 'Texas beats us on a Neutral Field Crap" - I think we would have **Slaughter Tech** and osu Like 66 to 14 etc. before they would lets us Jump Texas in the Final Poll....
Here is **The Future Final BCS Rankings** JMHO....
#1 Florida
#2 Texas
#3 Alabama (Unless Florida Beats them 66 to 14) Then OU # 3
#4 Oklahoma
#5 Usc
#6 T Tech.
#7 Utah or Penn State or "Who Cares" ---- ?

So you are dropping Texas Tech out of the top 7??? I guess you think that us and Baylor will beat them?

Help a poor badger out - when does BCS usually get released? I have yet to watch that little Fox show they do every Sunday :(

Also, if it matters, Harris is now out. (http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?articleID=20081116_298_TheO363263)

Has anyone told the media that it would be a 3 way tie if we beat Tech? By their logic that OU lost to UT so they can't be ranked ahead of them (see hypocrite: Mizzou ahead of OSU), then UT can't be ranked ahead of Tech. But then they say well Tech would have lost last, and by that logic OU lost first so they should be ranked first.

If OU wins out they would be the only team to win on the road vs OU, Tech, UT, or OSU.

Texas best non-conference opponent was Rice. We trounced Cincinnati and TCU.

A side note, it is a joke that Florida is playing Citadel next week and if we beat Tech we still probably wouldn't pass them.

yah but then the jackasses will say well, UT lost on the road, Tech lost on the road (hopefully), and Oklahoma lost a neutral game.

I think the people arguing for Texas are saying the exact same things we'd be saying if the roles were reversed. Just with different team names. Which I guess makes it not the exact same thing. But you get the picture.

Badj, stop throwing that in our face! :O

Also, can't ding Florida because of the Citadel game. Remember Chatty ? Even though it's an automatic 'W' for them, they lost their last season bye week to a hurricane.

They only have a 17 point lead in the poll. We beat Tech, and we will once again be ahead of them in the coaches poll...

OU has a BCS value of 0.8557
Texas has a BCS value of 0.8669

In the Joke (Harris) Poll...
OU has a BCS value of 0.8407
Texas has a BCS value of 0.8765

Not sure the values of the computers...but in order for OU to pass Texas in the BCS, all we have to do is jump Texas one spot in either the Harris or the Coaches poll, while having a higher computer average. Which we will by seasons end if we win out.

Tech is where they are by default. When yall spank em, I doubt anyone will confuse them with National Title contenders come voting time. It'll be interesting see hwo that affects all of our BCS scores

Usually you say a team is "where they are by default" when they haven't beaten anybody good. Alabama is more of a "default" BCS contender than Tech is. Unless you think Tech's win over the Horns should be regarded as mostly unimpressive.
