If we beat Tech and don't play for the Big XII Championship...

It will be an absolute conspiracy. Here's why:

1. It would go against the "who lost earlier, who is hotter right now" idea that is used in every college sport to determine post season play.
2. It would go against the "who played the best non-con schedule" idea that is used in every college sport to determine post season play. We would have beat two teams that could win or get a share of their conferences' championships.
3. It would go against precedent this season. When UT beat us, they jumped to #1. When TTECH beat UT, they jumped to #2. If the trend should follow, we should jump to the front of the line.
4. UT and TTECH have maxed out their computer rankings. After a victory over TTECH and OSU, logically, that should have us jump all of them.
5. In a more obscure line of reasoning, if we beat OSU by more than 10, we would be the only one of the three not to have a "close win," besides the loss. UT barely beat OSU on their home field. TTECH went to OT against Nebraska (who was worse than the Nebraska team that we beat just a couple of weeks ago).

This explains both the computers and human polls. If we don't get there, the fix is in. Not only do I believe this, but I talk to SEC fans (one 'Bama and one FLA) and a SUC fan who AGREE!!!

BTW, the win against Nebraska is looking better than the win against KU right now. That should also help.

An idea for fairness to honor all three would be to put OU in the title game, due to the above criteria, put TTECH in the Fiesta Bowl (rather ironic being Taco Tech:) ) against SUC, and give Pony Boy the Heisman. Even though Sam would deserve it, I don't think he would mind, given the situation.

Exactly. We are in this position because we lost. We can't complain if we don't make it IMHO. It is our own fault. We should have never let the computers/voters get involved.

All that being said, it is not a given we win either of these games.
