Of all the positives tonight our D was absolutely stellar. I didn't expect that level of commitment this early in the season

Nice work by most of the team tonight.

Warren looked a bit tentative with the 3-point shot but once he gets comfortable that should start to fall for him.

Davis was on fire from the outside and played some tough defense.

Griffins were same as ever, one workman and consistent the other an unstoppable force from anywhere on the court.

The new bigs even looked decent. I was impressed.

Number one issue is Blake's free throw shooting. If he doesn't get that above 65% soon it will become hack-a-Blake time and he will be in for a long painful year. Might even cost us a couple of games. Hope he can get that under control.

The crowd was about as expected. Cannot wait to see that place full!

I kinda cringed everytime BG thought about the three, yet I found myself hoping he would. When he drained it... man.. lol that was awesome.

It is very encouraging to know that we our athletic enough to play man all game. I know American isn't the best team we're gonna face (obviously) but they have good guards and a few decent shooters.

You couldn't have found a bigger fan of Cade Davis tonight. I was worried about his level of comfort out there, but that changed tonight. He stuck with #5 on D when out there, and drained some really nice three balls. He picks his spot in transition really nicely as well.

WW has to warm up. He just seems like the type of guy that is gonna catch fire and make things happen in big time games. I'm not a big fan of him automatically taking the shot when he can put the ball on the floor, but then again, American was in a zone all night. I think they tried to man up once and got owned.

American couldn't do squat down low, we were just too much.

I wish we could've gotten to see Patillo, but I'll take the decisive W. I'm guessing Capel is comfortable with his rotation at the 3 and feels Patillo could use a little more time to improve his game at this level. Who knows? Just sayin'

Tony Crocker will only improve throughout the season. He looked good tonight. That dunk was SICK.

Austin Johnson has got to be one of my favs. He plays his heart out and also plays good defense. He is long enough so he may get a shot at sticking Curry against Davidson coming up.
