You're right. I'll leave them out. Maybe the BCS president will be looking at SF.com today and see that I give no respect to the BCS "tradition" and decide to institute a playoff.

If we can't get to the title game, then I would LOVE to see that matchup. I'll bet Boise wouldn't want to play us again.

I have a bad feeling that the Fiesta will be OU vs. Utah.

Fiesta gets first at large selection so it'd be pretty doubful they'd select a team like Utah.

A Boise rematch would be huge for TV though, so that would be possible.

Under this scenario...
-Pac 10, Big East, Big 10 and ACC only get their automatic bid.
- Two highly ranked Big 12 and SEC teams get at-large bids deservedly
- Also deservedly, the bowl games reward TWO mid-majors Boise State and Utah for highly ranked seasons and the knowledge that from past bowls, they will actually bring people along.

Sorry guys, but those four major conferences just DO NOT DESERVE an at-large this year... and since Big 12 can't get a third (same goes for SEC), give it to teams that deserve it.

if the Beaver and the Trojans win out, the Pac 10 will get two teams in, almost guaranteed

If Beavers win out, swap out Boise State for a Texas vs. USC matchup in the Fiesta Bowl and a rematch (boooooo) of Penn State and Oregon State in the Rose Bowl.

Quite frankly, I can't see bowl officials loving that, but I also can't see Oregon State being denied entry to the gran'daddy of 'em all... same goes to starving Penn State fans... a weird situation, definitely.

Because Fiesta Bowl would have the first pick of at-larges for losing Oklahoma, they would definitely take Texas... and if the Sugar Bowl had first pick for losing the SEC team, they would take another SEC team (either Florida or Bammer), so no issues there.

After the RRR, I said that it was still possible that there could be a rematch in the BCS title game.

If we can get a little help this week and next week, it could still happen.

I'm biased of course, but I still think OU and texas are the two best teams in the land (you don't know how hard it is for me to admit that...the texas part)

Fumblerooskie?

The Wildcat formation?

Triple reverse option halfback flea flicker hail mary?

Yeah, clearly Alabama has done nothing to show they can hang with Florida this year. I mean besides winning all their games, allowing 13 points a game and 264 yards a game defensively.

I'll go on record and say I'd rather play Fla than Alabama in the BCS title game.

IMO, I'd rather play Bama if I was OU. I think OU would score almost the same points on either D, but OU's D, I think, would be better suited to play Bama's offense.

Here's what I don't like about the matchup Alabama-Nick Saban teams have a knack for forcing the opposing team into their style of play. Their modus operandi is to beat you physically in the trenches. I don't think we beat Alabama physically.

Florida, on the other hand, is all about speed. We can run with Florida.

I'm not saying I disagree with you. Frankly, I would like if OU got to play either. I just think Fla and Meyer would be likely to pull out all those stupid plays and trickeration if they needed to plus they have a very good QB and speedy skill players. On the other hand, Saban is likely to play you straight up. Their QB is pretty good and Coffee is good as well, but nobody really stands out and they have had some close games. Althouth no one really stood out on the OU 2000 team either. Anyway, not so much worried about the OU offense, but I think the OU defense would hold Bama to a lower score than they would Fla, JMO.
